how does this play out into the election next week? the president is going around looking presidential, i suppose. >> yeah, that tends to help a sitting president. and i think to the extent that it has any impact, i'm not sure it has a big one, it's probably helpful to president obama, particularly today you'll see pictures of him touring the damage in new jersey with the governor of new jersey, chris christie, a republican, who has been a big backer of mitt romney, who in the aftermath of this storm has been very supportive of the president, very thankful for the president's actions here and that's helpful to him. it's tough for mitt romney because it sort of knocks the campaign off the front pages a little bit off the top of the newscast. it takes a bit of momentum away, and it's hard for a challenger in this situation to get much attention. and he doesn't know whether he should be campaigning or doing relief work, so it's a tough spot for him to be in. but i don't think it has a huge impact. people have mostly made up their minds he
